S.I.T ( star in training)

Who would ever think such talent would come from a small rural town in from Southern Illonois. Eli Tellor is definitely going to hit the World of Country music by suprise as he not only sings, but he plays guitar and writes his own material. As of now, he isn't what one would call a star , but I don't see his future looking too dim. His youthful and soft sound will serve as the "voice of the young people", but also as the perfect clay for molding. Not to say he's not a talented singer, but a voice trainer and image consultant might be beneficial. Fortunately, with time and experience these things will come (he is only 19 people!). Eli Tellor, I wish the best of luck!

In Between the lines

Put your thinking caps on, because Noel Gourdin uses metaphors and analogies the untrained ear might not be accustomed to hearing. His soulful and falsetto sound does all tenors justice in his new single, "The River" from the album After My Time. Obviously bred in the church, this Mississippi native knows the meaning of contemporary rhythm and blues. Despite his own unique sound, he does bring to mind Jaheim, strangely Jamie Foxx, and Musiq Soulchild (three outstanding artists I might add). I haven't heard the rest of the album, but if there anything like this single, then listeners get your pen and pad ready and prepare to decode and enjoy!

Acousitc Soul

Justin Nozuka, a name music lovers will soon repeat often, is the total package. With a baby face and innocent persona, this Japanese-American vocalist adds versatility to the music world. As he plays his guitar, one can appreciate his acoustic sound at such a young age. Its not everyday a nineteen year old delivers songs with such meaning and diversity. His New single "After Tonight" off his debut album, Holly, is very encouraging as he speaks about comforting a girl in her time of emotional distress. Nothing is better than hearing conforting words from an angelic sound. "After tonight" is definitely the new lullaby of the year!

Do Kiss and tell

She kissed a girl and She liked it! Courtesy Capitol Records artisist, Katy Perry, tells it all in her new hit single from album, One of the Boys. "I kissed a Girl " joins the controversial list for the year, as the song brags about her kissing another female, and tasting her cherry chapstick. With a memorable chorus and catchy beat, heterosexuals and homosexuals find themselves singing the same tune. This twenty three year old artist is known for off the wall lyrics, but thats probably the reason for blasting speakers when her song pops on and her topping the charts in over fifteen countries. Summer 2008 has been a beneficial year for Ms. Perry, and maybe next time she'll tell us about her kiss with a boy!
